Henry Apdo Marapao, 85, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family on May 9, 2016 in Manteca. He was born on October 19, 1930 in Calape, Bohol, Philippines to the late Leoncio and Cristita Marapao.
   Henry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sally and children Rochelle Kuikahi and husband Myles, Duane Marapao, and Erich Marapao and wife Lizeth.  He has four grandchildren - Selena Kuikahi, Cesar Marapao, Isabella Marapao and Jocelyn Marapao.
   A Manteca resident, Henry was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars with two years service on a destroyer and 18 in a submarine. He also retired from the Defense Logistics Agency in Tracy after 17 years. Henry was a member of the Visayanians of America, Calape Sons of America, Filipino American Veterans Association of SJ County, and was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.  A devoted husband and proud of his childrens’ many accomplishments, Henry loved spending time with family and friends, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
   Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm with a rosary immediately following at P.L. Fry Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca at 11:00am.  He will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery, 3661 East French Camp Road, Manteca.
