Helen was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Armin Greifzu and Emma Espanner.
She graduated from Johnson High School in 1950 and soon after met David Provost. They were married in 1951 and had two children, David and Deby. The family settled in Cucamonga, CA in 1955 and moved to Manteca, CA in 1967. Helen and David were divorced in 1977. She married Gene Rhoades in 1982 and stayed married until his death in 1992. Helen loved gardening and animals, she was often in trouble for feeding all the strays in the neighborhood. Her favorite job was working at Fredrik's Nursery in Ripon where she was everyone's grandma.
She is survived by her two children, David (Gay) and Deby, her grandson Jason (Lindsay and great-granddaughter.
There will be a celebration of life Saturday, December 11, at El Rancho Mobile Park Clubhouse, Manteca, CA.
