Gerald H. Grieve "Jerry", born on October 22, 1934, in Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in Hughson, California. He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara, his step son Tom Tachara, two siblings Bill Grieve and Pat Thill his granddaughter Trisha Archuleta.

   Jerry was married to his loving wife, Nancy, for 31 wonderful years. He is survived by his children, Russ Grieve and Kim Baker (Ron), his stepdaughter, Cindy Zontek (Jim) and one brother Keith Grieve. Jerry was a proud grandfather to Zach and Brody Baker, Ashley Hutchason, Kathryn Roberts and Brittney John, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of his life.

   Previously of Manteca, Jerry spent the last 8 years making his home in Turlock.  He attended Manteca High, class of 1953. He was a dedicated salesman for over 33 years, working for both Peninsula Creamery and Meadow Gold Dairy. Outside of work, Jerry's interests and talents were vast and varied. He was an active member of the Manteca Valley Golfers and the PT Cruiser Club of Modesto, "HWY 99" club.  where he meticulously won over 100 trophies for his beautiful car. His enthusiasm for shuffleboard was evident as a member of the Indian Wells RV Park Hi 10 Shuffleboard Team in Indio, California where he helped the team win 5 straight District Championships.  He and Nancy spent the last 24 winters in Indio and had many friends from Canada as well as the US.

    As a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Giants, Jerry's love for sports extended beyond the stands. He enjoyed golf, trips to local casinos, socializing with friends and taking cruises with Nancy. Jerry will be remembered as a true gentleman with a kind and considerate heart. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
