Florentina Felisa Tangonan, who was born on May 20, 1931 in the Philippines, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 29, 2020 in Manteca, California.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mariano. Florentina was the proud mother of Florencia (the late Peter) Aczon of London, England, Milagros Visaya of Seattle, Marcelina (Sergio) Tacotaco of Lathrop, Cresencio (Pilar) Tangonan, Ceferino (Chita) Tangonan of Lathrop, Frederick Tangonan and Claire (Philip) Albano of Lathrop. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren, Sarah Manwaring, Christopher Tacotaco, Ray Guerrero, Joseph Tacotaco, Richard Tangonan, Jessie Tangonan, Marc Tangonan, Princess Tangonan, Mary Lynne Tactaco, Michelle Tangonan, Tricia Albano, Gian Albano, Jake Tangonan, Lian Tangonan and Karen Daguio. She also had nine great-grandchildren who she adored.
Floretina was the epitome of hard work, resilience and patience. She dedicated her time to her family and loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness and sweet smile by her co-workers of 10 years at Fisher Nursery. Her life was a living example of Bible verse Esphesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving of one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Floretina will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
