Evelyn Irene Webb, 95, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2015.  She was born on March 5, 1920 in Tracy, California and spent her pre-school years in Pacific Grove where her father had a fishing business.  Later, the family moved back to the Valley where her father became a dairy farmer in Manteca.  She attended elementary and high school in Escalon and was a resident of Manteca for most of her life. 
   She was a member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church and was active in the Legion of Mary and the Sunshine Club.  She travelled with the Legion on a religious Pilgrimage to the religious sites of Rome, Fatima and Lourdes.  She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and was a member of the Fraternal LUSO and PFSA Portuguese organizations. 
   She loved cooking, gardening and having family around her for holiday meals.  Later in life she became interested in writing poetry and was published and listed in Our World’s Favorite Poems - the Who’s Who in Poetry; National Library of Poetry.   Some of her poetry was published and recorded into music lyrics.  She was an avid Sudoku player and enjoyed Pinochle and Whist card games.  She was a regular for bingo at the Manteca Senior Citizens Center.   
   Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Orrin Webb, her parents Manuel and Virginia Quaresma, her daughter, Loretta (Rocha) Coffey, her brother, George Quaresma and her sister, Jessie (Quaresma) Souza.   She was a loving mother and is survived by her son, Mark Webb of Manteca, CA, and her daughter, Irene (Rocha) Bernasconi of Elk Grove, CA.  She was the beloved grandmother of Brandon Webb, Ashley Webb, Mindy Webb, Ronald (Yolanda) Bernasconi, Christian Bernasconi and Stephen Coffey, and beloved great-grandmother of Michael Bernasconi, Samuel Bernasconi and Wynona Bernasconi. 
   Visitation commencing at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at P L Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, CA 95337.
   Funeral Mass commencing at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19401 State Highway 120, Ripon, CA.  Burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery (adjacent to
St. Patrick’s Church).
