Elisabeth Wilson, 96 entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2015 surrounded by her adoring family. She was born in Munich Germany on December 9, 1918. In heaven she joins her loving husband Howard Richard Wilson.
Elisabeth leaves behind her family her son Horst Wilson and wife Linda of Stockton and her daughter Arlene King and husband Mark of Manteca. She was blessed with one granddaughter Jennifer Craven and her husband Gary, two great grandchildren Hannah and Matthew Craven and his wife Vanessa. In addition she has one great great grandbaby, Alahna Craven.
Elisabeth was a Manteca resident since 1971. For the past eight years of her life she was a proud “pink lady” at Doctors Hospital of Manteca. She found great joy volunteering her time and made many great friends there. Elisabeth met and married her husband Howard in Germany where he was stationed with the USAF. She endured trying times while living in Germany. She would often tell stories about what it was like to grow up during the war, some more incredible than others, and nonetheless heart breaking. Elisabeth enjoyed playing her violin and organ, knitting, sewing and playing Scrabble, which she was a champ at to the end. Up until her final days you could still see her doing yard work daily.
She loved her family more than words could describe. Experience in life could make or break you: however Elisabeth was a fighter, as she valiantly lived her life and cherished every day. She will be remembered as a most loving mother, grandmother and friend.
P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Wilson family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan.14, 2015 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at P.L. Fry, 290 North Union Road, Manteca with a Celebration of her life immediately following at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at a private burial at Parkview Cemetery.
