Born on May 5, 1931, Edward J. Cardoza Sr. entered into rest on May 22, 2023. He was 92 years old. 

   He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Joseph Cardoza, sister Dorothy Indelicato, daughter Linda Cardoza and his grandson Edward Cardoza III.

   Mr. Cardoza is survived by his wife of 68 years Delores Cardoza, son Edward Cardoza Jr., daughter-in-law Belinda and six grandchildren, Ryan Cardoza, Angelique Berchum, Matthew Johnson, Jason Johnson, Eddie Johnson and Amanda Rhoten as well as, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

   A lifetime resident of Manteca Ed was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He served his country through the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged after one term. Soon after the military, Ed started his career as a TV and Radio Technician. In 1954 Ed opened the original “Ed’s TV” on Main Street in Manteca. Ed, began his Development career in 1975 where many of his buildings remain in Manteca, Lathrop and Lake Tulloch. After 46 years, Ed went back to his roots in 2000 and built the Radio Station KEJC 93.9 The Ranch where many valley listeners enjoyed the tunes of country music. Ed had an impeccable work ethic; he put his heart and soul into each of his endeavors, which led him to never retiring. Ed will be remembered as a loyal family man and a successful businessmen who made his dreams a reality for his family.

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Cardoza family. A Prayer service will be on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca.  He will be laid to rest, privately the following day at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
