Douglas Wayne Van Dyken
January 1, 1935-September 13, 2024
Douglas Wayne Van Dyken obit

Our precious Douglas is now in the arms of Jesus, his Savior. He has reunited with his dad, Lambertus Van Dyken, and mother, Magdalyn Van Dyken, in heaven, as well as with his older sister, Edna Van Laar.

Douglas was born and raised in Ripon, California. He was the second child in his family with one younger brother, Lloyd (Pat) Van Dyken, and two younger sisters, Leona (George) Stuit, and Verna (Ed) Sabo.  Doug attended Ripon Christian Schools where he excelled in track, winning several awards.  Almond Valley CRC was proud to claim Doug as a longtime member. Doug managed the Christmas tree lot for several years to raise funds for the Stockton Gospel Mission.

Doug never married, but was a treasured uncle to his many nieces and

nephews.  A few years ago, Doug traveled to Maine where he got to see President Bush’s home and he visited the church where the Bush family worshiped.  Doug worked on the family almond ranch all his life. Doug lived with his parents until 2008, when his dad left this earth to reside in heaven with Doug’s mom. Doug then moved to Bethany Manor, where he lived for

the last 16 years.
