Donald “Don” Thomas Liggett, of Manteca, CA, son of Thomas and Hulda Liggett, passed away on February 20th, 2022.
Born in 1923, Don grew up in Northern California, joining the US Marines in World War II and served in the South Pacific. Don moved to Manteca, CA where he would live with wife, Heddy until his passing.
Don was an outdoor enthusiast and avid hunter, but best known as an incredible fisherman. Don always enjoyed being on or near the water. Don helped many children become lovers of the outdoors and helped spread the understanding, conservancy, importance and the power of nature.
Don is survived by his wife, nephew, niece, granddaughter, grandson and his great-grandchildren.
