Dean Anthony Ponsiano, 46, entered into rest August 29, 2011 at Doctors Hospital Modesto, surrounded by his beloved family and friends. He was born on January 30, 1965 in San Jose, CA. He joins his mother in heaven, Marie Homen Ponsiano.

Mr. Ponsiano is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Marta A. Ponsiano of Manteca. His children are Annamarie Ambriz, Victoria Ambriz, Marta Ambriz, Alfred Ambriz and Mia Ponsiano all of Mante-ca, CA. He is also survived by his father John Ponsiano of Wheatland, CA. Sib-lings, Sharon Spehar and Danny Ponsiano of San Jose, CA and David and Gayle Ponsiano of Livermore, CA. He was blessed by three grandchildren, Anajae Ambriz, Aliya Lopez, and Josiah Chavez.
Dean was a delivery driver for approximately 15 years. His most recent employment was with Delta Sierra/Anheuser-Busch – Modesto, CA. Dean and his wife moved to Lathrop in 2000 where they purchased their first home together, eventually moving to Manteca. Dean loved sharing his home with family and friends. Dean is best known for spending most of his time in his garage, and working on cars with his brother David, and erasing his wife’s favorite shows to watch his ever so dearest NASCAR, Kasey Kahne # 9. His favorite dish request from his wife for every birthday was chicken taquitos with all of the fixings. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a wonderful loving father, and a very special grandfather “PaPa” He will be terribly missed.

Mr. Ponsiano’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. His final resting place will be private. An online guest book is available for condolences and special messages to the family at www.plfryandson.com
