David Valadez passed away on June 26, 2022 in Manteca, California. He was born on October 23, 1941 in Anaheim, California to the late Robert Valadez and Margaret (Marc) Villenueva. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Michael David and his sister JoAnn McKenize. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Julie and three sons, Michael, Tim (Denise), Kenneth “Chuck”. David had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
David is a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served in the United States Army from 1964-1966. He then went to work in the Federal Government, Sharpe Army Depot as a Supervisor of the Motor Pool, retired in 1993 then went to work for Sacramento Coke/Cola and retired from there in 2015, David was a hard core NASCAR fan and was a member of the Winston West Circuit from 1994 to 1999 when he was severely burned on Pit Row in Irwindale, Ca. In his free time he rebuilt his 1956 Chevy Belair 2 door Hardtop multiple times and his family swears that classic car was his “true love”. David loved to travel and explored several historical places including Washington DC, Statue of Liberty, Flight
93 and Niagara Falls. He loved all types of music “Goodie Oldies” (50s 60s) were the best and played the Saxophone in High School. David was a tender hearted man and loved unconditionally, he was a quiet man, but yet quite witty. He will be missed by his family and especially his fur-babies, Sassy, Sunshine and Ziva.
P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Valadez family. A chapel service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. He will be honored with full military honors. Viewing begins at 10:00 am.
