David Edward Lee, 64, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 in Manteca, CA. He was born on Aug. 2, 1950 in San Francisco. In heaven he joins his loving father Owen Lee. David leaves behind his mother Donna Cyr of Santa Rosa, and three children Karina Lee, Ashley Lee and Roger Sanchez. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Ryan Sanchez and Angel Gavidia. In addition, he has three surviving siblings: Wanda Lee, Janet Lee Anjain and Sandy Brayer.
David, known as “Icebox” to the trucker community, was a Manteca resident. He owned and operated Lee Electronics located in Ripon where CB radios were his specialty. David was most at peace fishing under the Golden Gate Bridge at Fort Point. He was a collector of comic books, coins, electronics, and anything antique that he found interesting. He loved his family dearly, spoiled his girls beyond belief and raised Roger unconditionally as his own. His goofy personality never went unnoticed. He worked hard, full time 6 days a week to accomplish his successful business. He will be remembered for the love for his children and his smile that lit up a room. Yet most of all, he will always be remembered for his unwavering generosity.
P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Lee family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 from 11a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a Celebration of his life following at 3 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. He will be laid to rest privately. For condolences to the family please visit our website at www.plfryandson.com search obituaries.
