Christine Ruby Mason, 77, of Tracy, California, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024, in French Camp. Born on April 14, 1946, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Christine was a cherished member of her community, having spent 20 years in Tracy, 11 years in Modesto, and a decade in Coos Bay, Oregon.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication within her surviving family; her children, Michael Goatcher, Roger Goatcher, Lisa Goatcher, and Becky Russell; her grandchildren, Jeremiah, David, Lance, Serenity, Kaitlyn, Chance, Jacob, Joseph, AJ, Kyle, Jamie, Stephanie, and Lindsay; and her 21 great-grandchildren and her siblings Don, David, Richard, Bonnie, and Patty. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Adison, her daughter, Sheila Metcalf, granddaughter Kristen Mason, and her siblings, Linda Wood and Daniel Wood.
Known for her green thumb, Chris loved to begin her days with a cup of coffee, basking in the sunshine among her beloved flowers. Her garden was a testament to her love for nurturing life, be it through the plants she tended or the family she so devotedly cared for. Christine's generous spirit was evident in how she always looked out for others, ensuring that everyone around her was well taken care of. Her conversations with siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were filled with wisdom and care. Christine's faith was a cornerstone of her life; she held a strong relationship with God and believed deeply that everything in life was a part of His greater plan. Christine’s life was a beautiful garden of joy, kindness, and faith. Her love will continue to flourish in the hearts of those who knew her.
