Charles James Perkins, a long time resident of Ripon, passed away at his home on April 18, 2020 at the age of 65.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Wendy; his children, Vanessa, Justin, Ben, Dan, Anthony, Kyle and Kate; his grandchildren, Sebastian, Lily, Liam, Bella, Max, Sylvia, LJ, Forest, Josie and Ayden.
Charlie was born in Sacramento on October 27, 1954 to Ramona and Charles Perkins. He graduated from Alameda high school in 1972. After High School, he started his working career as a welder. He would later work for Jack Rabbit in Ripon as a shop foreman for 24 years. Charlie was a devoted husband, father and papa. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved the Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors and driving around in his Corvette.
Charlie was a good down to earth man. He touched a lot of hearts. He was a mentor who guided and taught a lot of young men who he had hired over the years. Those young men say that he shaped them into the men and fathers that they are today. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Services for Charlie will be held at Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon at a future date that will be announced.
