Charles Green, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully in Manteca on October 15, 2024, at the age of 86. Born in Oklahoma on September 27, 1938, Charles became a proud resident of Manteca in the early 1950s, where he built a life filled with love and dedication to his family.

   He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Beverly. Charles is survived by his children, Kimberly Johnston and Michael Green, along with his adoring grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Becca, and Hailey. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren; Ryder, Blake, Cooper, Claire, and McKenzie-who brought him immense joy. Charles had a deep bond with his surviving sister  Beverly, and was deeply loved by all of  his surviving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

   Charles proudly served in the United Sates Air Force, where he worked as a decoder, contributing to our nation's security and defense. After is military service, Charles served 35 years as a letter carrier for the government in Manteca, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and commitment to his community. A gifted craftsman, he had a passion for woodworking, creating beautiful shelves and various projects. He even shared his skills by teaching woodworking locally, inspiring many with his creativity.  In his younger years, Charles enjoyed rock collecting and often crafted unique jewelry and items from his finds. Above all, he was a caregiver at heart, selflessly tending to the needs of his parents, his wife's parents, and his  disabled son. His compassion and dedication to family were hallmarks of his character. As a new Christian believer, Charles found solace in his faith.

   Charles will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for his family. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.
