Surrounded by her loving family, Carole Marie “Nina” Gordon, 78, entered into rest on March 18, 2023. She was born on July 4, 1944 in San Francisco, Ca to the late Antonio and Corina Montalbo.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by her beloved husband Wayne Gordon, children, Christine Whitcomb, Dino Rovai and Sharon Tsakiris, step-daughters Lindsey Gordon and Jamie Krivda, grandchildren, Niki Van Tassel, Hunter Whitcomb, Jessica Rovai, Athena Tsakiris, Mikey Tsakiris, Alexis Tsakiris, Teejay Gordon, Isaiah Gordon, Mariah Krivda and Vanessa Krivda, two great-grandchildren, Finn and Wray, siblings, Stanley Montalbo, Tony Montalbo, Barbara Montalbo and Kathy Montalbo.

Carole currently worked for the Catholic Cemeteries Diocese of Stockton where she was affectionately known as “Nina.” Her empathic character made her perfect for working with families as a cemetery counselor for St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Modesto and most recently for Good Shepard in Salida; Nina worked for the Catholic Cemeteries for over 27 years.  Growing up in the bay area, Carole and Wayne were high school sweethearts where they went their separate ways after graduation. In the early 2000’s they rekindled their relationship at a high school reunion and married in 2006. Carole was a lover of everything; her personality shined bright just like a diamond and her enthusiasm was over the top fun. She loved every holiday, big or small, she decorated her home, her work office and even her clothing attire matched each holiday. A self-proclaimed shopping professional, Carole was a handbag and shoe connoisseur. She absolutely loved glamor, she stayed up to date with contemporary hairstyles, clothing, nails and everything always matched perfectly from head to toe. Carole’s infectious personality made others smile and laugh; she never had a bad word to say about anyone, her outlook on others and life in general was always positive. She will be remembered for her big heart, her silly attitude and her selfless spirit. She will be missed by all who loved and adored her.
