Brenda Cardenas was born on July 30, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas and died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.  Brenda suffered from Muscular Dystrophy for 5 years.  She put up a brave & courageous fight but on September 9, 2011 she was called home.  She was a kind and caring person who would sit and visit with everyone and give them good advice.  She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to travel whenever she had the chance.  She loved to attend family games and would be their biggest fan; she also enjoyed watching ghost
stories, cooking for her family, and enjoyed eating double stuff Oreo cookies and string cheese.  She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 27 years, Efrain Cardenas of Ripon and their children, Jessica Cardenas & husband, David Villavicencio of Lathrop, Jessenia Cardenas of Ripon and Mariah Cardenas of Ripon.  She adored her grandchildren, David Villavicencio, Jr. and
Alycia Villavicencio, both of Lathrop.  She is also survived by her sisters, Debra Lopez of Oakdale, Janice Crindo of Manteca, Patricia Mullins of San Ramon, and Jamie Noack of Merced.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 15 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Her Rosary will follow the visitation and begin at 6:00 pm at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.  Her Mass will be on Friday, September 16 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca.  There is an online guest book available for you to share your memories and condolences at www.deeganfuneralchapels.com
