   Bill Morris, age 72, of Volcano, CA, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013.  Bill was born the youngest of five children in French Camp, CA on March 4, 1941, a son of the late Helen (Buettner) and Ernest Morris.  Bill grew up in French Camp, CA and raised his family in Manteca until he moved to Stockton in 1982. 
   Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon Morris; daughter, Mary Morris,  step-daughter, Tamara (Tim) O’Horgan, step-son, John (Shannon) McCann,  grandchildren, Justine, Aylissa, Wesley, Anthony, Alexis, Jack, Trent, Julianne; nieces, Roberta (Frank) Corso, Tami, Ric and Jim (Edna) Morris and sister-in-law LaVonne Morris.
   He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rodney, Bob, Patricia and Jack, and daughters Carrie and Kristy.
Bill graduated from Manteca High school.  He began working as an electricians apprentice at the age of 18.  He would continue in this work at Fiberboard and as co-owner of Morris and Welch Electrical in Stockton until he retired in 1991 at the age of 55. In 2001 Bill and Sharon moved to Volcano in Amador County.
 During his life, Bill played “A” division fast pitch softball in Stockton in the 1970’s and 1980’s and later played “over 50’s” softball.  He coached his daughter and niece’s softball team. He loved his dogs and the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing and boating throughout his life.  He could tell a good joke and was always the life of the party everyone who met him enjoyed his humor.  He was loyal and hard working and always willing to help out a friend.  He had many lifelong friends. 
   Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Daneri Mortuary Chapel, Jackson, CA, at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2013.  Memorial contributions may be made to Tri County Wildlife, 11261 Prospect Drive, Jackson, CA  95642. Jose Avina, born on August 15, 1944, passed away on December 25, 2024. A cherished resident of Lathrop for over 48 years, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elda. Jose is survived by his two children, Adriana Dias (John) and Jose Armando Avina (Jenny), and his grandchildren: Alex, Regina, Lucas, Suzette, Austin, Jace. He also leaves behind his siblings: Luis Avina, Alejandro Avina, Carlos Avina, Rose Hernandez, and Jaime Avina.
