Betty Jo Radcliffe, 99, entered into rest on March 12, 2024, in Manteca. She was born April 27, 1924, in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma to the late Leonard and Lois Berentine. Betty is proceeded in death by her husband David, sister Wanda Stone, and her daughter Janis Radcliffe Pearson.
She leaves behind her loving daughter Sharon Schmidt and husband Jim of Manteca and son–in-law Terry Pearson. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Erika, Evan, and Meredith. She was also blessed with two great- grandchildren, Vivian and Logan. She is survived by one sister Evelyn.
Betty was a Manteca resident for the past 16 years. She was originally from the bay area. She worked as an office administrator after dedicating her time to her daughters. She served a girl scout leader for 17 years. She loved to volunteer her time wherever she was needed. She would later volunteer for Modesto Memorial hospital for many years. She enjoyed a good book, and watching 40’s and 50’s movies. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and was so proud of all their accomplishments. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
