Betty Jo McDonald, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024 in Modesto, California. She was born on March 9, 1937 to the late James and Alma Brewer.
Betty leaves behind her children; Britt (Julia) Quintal of Henderson, NV; Renee (Carl) Dumlao of Manteca; Laura McDonald of Manteca and Randy (April) Sprinkle of Manteca, who while not her biological son was loved as if he was. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren; Katrina, Kyle, Sarah, Brittany, Carl, Mindy, Lindsey, Jacob, Randolph, Beau and Donavan and 23 great-grandchildren. She was married to Richard Quintal for five years before he passed away. After his passing, she married Glenn McDonald and they lived happily for over 53 years before his passing in 2017. She is also preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Brewer.
Betty and her husband ran the McDonald Glenn Construction Company for over 20 years. In their free time they enjoyed traveling the world to play golf at some of the most amazing courses. Betty was an avid gardener and had an immaculate yard that she took great pride in.
Betty was extremely proud of her family. She was the matriarch who loved to entertain and have family gatherings in her home. She was kind and easy going. When she spoke, everyone listened. Her family and friends will miss her kind spirit.
