Bertha Victoria Stockdale, known as Victoria to friends and family, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2021 in Manteca, California. She leaves behind her loving mother, Rebecca Rodarte, two brothers, Sgt. Nicholas Stockdale, DC3 Christopher Arteaga, and sister-in-law Svetlana Stockdale.
Victoria graduated from Sierra High School with honors in 2015. She continued her education at Delta College and earned 4 Associates Degrees in Architecture, Interdisciplinary Studies, Arts, Humanities, and Social Studies, Lower Division Mathematics, and Upper Division Mathematics. She was set to continue her education by attending UC Berkley’s school of Architecture to acquire dual Baccalaureate Degrees in Architecture and Mathematics in the Fall. She dreamed of being an architect and was well on her way as she currently worked as a “drafter.” A self-described “geek” Victoria loved Star Wars, The Hobbit, Lord of Rings and Harry Potter. Her intelligence was inspiring to many. She excelled in mathematics and loved math jokes. She was always more than happy to tutor anyone who needed help in her favorite subject. In her free time was an avid reader who loved Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, The Brothers Grimm, contemporary fantasy and the classics. She loved baking cakes, pies, and any dessert imaginable to bring smiles to her family and friend’s special occasions. She also loved to travel and was able to make a month long cross country trip with her mom last summer. She was always looking forward to her next road trip which would have been this summer to Portland, Oregon to study the old architectural buildings. Victoria will be remembered as a “classic and vibrant” young woman who was always willing to lend a hand.
P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rodarte/Stockdale family. Due to Covid-19, services are private. Please contact the family directly for more information. An online guestbook is available at www.plfryandson.com
