Barbara Jean Silva Snyder, born January 12, 1931, in Florida, passed away on May 31, 2024. A beloved resident of Manteca for 22 years, Barbara previously called San Leandro home. Barbara is survived by her loving children, Debra Bowen and Lisa Marie Crowley; cherished grandchildren, Erica, Cody, Michael, Mathew, and John; adored great-grandchildren, Richard, Rianna, Skyler, CJ, Mila, and Sloane; and a precious great-great- grandchild, Ailani.
Barbara dedicated 20 years of service as a community service officer with the San Leandro Police Department, retiring with honor. She was known for enjoying countless hours solving crossword puzzles, being a true Raiders fan, and passionately watching the Food Network. Barbara’s adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, with her trip to Ireland being the most memorable.
Barbara's life took a joyful turn 22 years ago when she visited Manteca, met Jack, and married him. Together, they served in the SHARP Unit for the Manteca Police Department and were members of Saron Lutheran Church in Escalon.
Barbara's spunky and straightforward personality, coupled with her loving heart and humor, made her a treasured figure in her family and community.
