Anna Queirolo Mello, 78, of Lathrop, CA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on December 20th.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dean Mello, parents Angie and Enrico Queirolo, and brother, David Queirolo. Anna is survived by her daughter, Allison Mello (John Bransfield, Jr.), sister Ada Queirolo, and brothers George Massey, Tony (Ida) Queirolo, and Angelo Queirolo.
Anna dedicated her life to the education of children in the Manteca Unified School District. In over 37 years of service as a teacher, mentor, and school administrator she set a high bar for excellence. Outside of work, Anna was passionate about travel and baseball -often combining the two. She visited 22 of 30 MLB stadiums, attended 2008's MLB Opening Day in Tokyo, and attended dozens of MLB Spring Training games in Arizona over the years. Anna was also a woman of tremendous faith demonstrated by her dedication to numerous ministries at St. Anthony's Parish, her involvement in the Italian Catholic Federation, and her unwavering support of her beloved Oakland A's.
P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Mello family. A rosary will be on January 8, 2024 at 11a.m. followed by a mass both held at St. Antony's Catholic Church, 525 E. North St., Manteca. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in a private ceremony at a later date. For direct condolences to the family visit. www.plfryandson.com
