Zephyr, voted Manteca’s best local band for 2011, is performing at the California State Fair in Sacramento on Sunday, July 16, at 5 p.m. on The Promenade Stage.

They performed at the Barking Dog Grill in Modesto Saturday night. The band consists of six young musicians ranging in age from 11 to 14. They have been performing together for over three years under the direction of Gordon Kennedy-GK Music in Manteca. The young musicians play rock covers and original music.

They also will perform on Friday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m. as part of the Concerts in the Park series at Beard Park in Waterford.
