VEA hosts martial arts cultural exchange

The VEA Martial Arts Academy of Manteca will be hosting a Martial Arts Cultural Exchange Saturday, July 23. 

This event will bring various Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) grand masters and other renowned FMA instructors to Manteca Allstars Academy. All martial artists and martial arts schools in the area are encouraged to attend this collaborative hands-on workshop.  Pre-registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The seminar will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost to participate is $50 at the door or $35 if you register the day before event. The fee includes lunch which will be available after the event.

Participants are asked to wear clean sneakers, wrestling-mat shoes or socks on the floor.

Among the well-known instructors who will be there include Grand Master Arthur Gonzalez, Grand Master Ver Villasin, Grand Master Darren Tibon, Maestro Dexter Labanog, Master Ron Saturno, Guro Dane Abrigana and Guro Mateo Masellones.

The VEA Martial Arts Academy is a joint venture of the director of the Victorious Elite Allstars Amy Acaya, Kenpo Karate instructor Larry Acaya and DeCuerdas Eskrima instructor Mike Cardenas. Their goals are to provide practical and quality instruction at reasonable rates and to expose students to other martial arts disciplines through collaborative martial art workshops and affiliation with the Kilohana Martial Arts Association.
