NAPA (AP) — A Northern California judge has ordered a 35-year-old woman to spend three months in jail for sending sexually explicit messages to a high school teen.
A Napa County Superior Court judge also ordered Mardell Marie Uhl to stay away from school campuses, playgrounds and other places where children are present while she remains on probation.
During her three-year probation, the mother of four children also is prohibited from using social media, including Facebook.
In a letter to the court, Uhl expressed regret for her actions and the pain and humiliation her “poor choices” have caused not only her family but the teen victim and his family.
