BURBANK  (AP) — Police say a couple sold a Burbank teen a $10,000 car only to steal it back the next day.

Lt. John Dilbert told the Los Angeles Times the 18-year-old was given a fake title for the 2009 Honda Civic before she drove it to her Palm Springs home this weekend.

When she awoke the next day, the car was gone.

Police found the couple's Craigslist ad and arranged to meet in a park to buy the car.

Police arrested 18-year-old Kayla Pouncy and 30-year-old Jose Madrigal, after a brief foot pursuit.

Madrigal is being held on $30,000 bail, Pouncy on $20,000.

Burbank police urge any other possible victims to contact authorities.
