St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Flea Market and Car Show is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the corner of Powers Avenue and North Street.
“It’s time to get out all your old reassures and dust them off in preparation for the sale,” said chairwoman of the event Jeanne Pollard who is organizing numerous boots at the event.
Ross Kilpatrick is being featured with his 1932 Ford highboy roadster. The car took Ross three years to build and is powered by a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 engine with a four barrel carburetor. Ross began building hot rods after he retired from PG&E, having built a total of six cars.
Ross also owns a 1934 Ford coupe. Some 20 of his friends will be showing their hot rod creations and displaying a variety of trophies from other competitions.
A tri-tip sandwich lunch is being offered to guests and the proceeds will benefit the St. Paul’s Food Pantry. Musical entertainment is being offered by Pete Villanueva’s JRP and Company Band that promises to add to a day of fun.
