RIPON — The Ripon Chamber of Commerce’s annual installation and awards dinner takes place on Thursday, July 14, at the Spring Creek Golf & Country Club, 1580 E. Spring Creek Drive.
The social hour is at 6 p.m. with a no-host bar followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The presentation of awards is at 8 p.m.
Tickets are on sale for $30 per person at the Chamber office, located at 929 W. Main Street or from any board member. Tickets will not be available at the door.
The deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday, July 7. Dinner will be catered by Spring Creek Golf & Country Club.
The Chamber will honor the following: outgoing board members, H. Thomas Beck, Elden “Red” Nutt and Dean Uecker; Business of the Year 2011, Jakes’ Coffee, Tea and Sandwiches; Volunteers of the Year 2011, Lenny Carhart and Ted Johnston; Ripon Police Officers of the Year 2011, Joshua Sweeten; Fireman of the Year 2011, Jason Fulmer;
Educator of the Year 2011, Heidi Hawes – Ripon Unified School District – Weston Elementary, and Brent Folkerts, Ripon Christian School.
On Tuesday, July 12, the Board of Directors will elect new officers. They will be sworn in along with the new board members at the dinner.
