What a better way to enjoy the last few weeks of summer than the senior luncheon at the St. Anthony Parish gymnasium on Thursday.

The event consisting of a warm meal served up by students from nearby St. Anthony’s School is open to all regardless of their religious affiliations, according to Sister Ann Venita Britto.

She and her Ministry of Caring will decorate the gym in a Hawaiian luau theme featuring center pieces, goodie bags and other donated items.

Sister Ann, as usual, will recognize folks celebrating their birthdays for this month.

As for entertainment, JRP Band will be performing the tunes.

Sister Ann, in addition, will welcome her regulars from places such as Valley CAPS, Emeritus, Prestige, the Commons and the St. Jude Care Center, to name a few.

The senior luncheon is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Included will be a drawing for door prizes, dancing and fellowship.
