The above ground work is currently taking place at Ripon High with the construction of the Career Technical Education Center.
“We’ve been moving forward and keeping our fingers crossed that we will miss most of the rain,” said Director of Facilities & Operations Andy Strickland at last week’s Ripon Unified school board meeting.
He provided a project update on the two-story building that, once completed, will be part of the Ag. Department in his January facilities report.
Included were the installation of the metal studs outside of the steel frame for the walls.
CT Brayton & Sons Construction of Escalon is spearheading the work that began in November 2022.
The CTE Center will accommodate a variety of career pathway courses at RHS, including ag science, ag business, diesel mechanics, software & systems, and patient care, just to name a few.
RUSD is hoping for completion prior to the 2024-2025 school year.
Strickland provided other works around the district in his report, consisting of:
· Irrigation repairs made during the winter break at the RHS softball field.
· Painting of the interior at Park View Elementary School’s multi-purpose building consisting of a lighter shade and a band to match the school’s colors.
