Weston School improves student attendance to 97.16%

The Ripon Unified School District recognized Weston Elementary School for its improved attendance based on last month’s report.

According to Director of Student Services Lisa Mazza, the kindergarten- through- eighth- grade campus had the highest jump from a year ago at this time, going from 95.79 percent in the fifth month of the school year to 97.16 percent in December 2024.

“We took Harvest High out of the mix,” she said of the RUSD alternative education site.

Harvest High led the district with a 97.40 percent in student attendance this past December – at this time in the 2023-2024 school year, Harvest High had an impressive 99.50 attendance rate.

Meanwhile, Ripon High maintained steady attendance numbers, going from 95.20 percent a year ago to the recent 95.26 percent.

Ripon Elementary (95.78), Ripona (92.81), Colony Oak (96.40), and Park View (96.78) maintained steady numbers from now to that of a year ago.
