Trick or Treaters descend on downtown Ripon

Thousands of youngsters converged on the streets of Ripon on Friday.

It was Trick or Treat hosted once again by participating downtown Ripon merchants, who served up candies and other treats for this 10th annual Halloween event.

Manteca’s downtown Safe Halloween is today from 10 a.m. to noon on Yosemite Avenue and Maple Avenue at participating merchants.

The Trick or Treaters in Ripon  came dressed in costume as their favorite super hero, action movie hero, video game figure, princess, work occupation, etc.

Each came accompanied with a parent or adult supervision as they made their way along the Main Street businesses, being greeted by grownups who were also dressed in costume.

The One Church in Ripon provided a photo booth featuring the likes of Captain America and Black Window from the MCU blockbuster movies.

Susan Wright from the Clarence Smit Museum was outfitted in a turn-of-the-century or Victorian Era dress.

Organizers estimated the turnout of over 3,000 prior to this popular event.
