The Terraces at Bethany continued to take shape Thursday on the three-story, 104,700 square-foot village-style residential living community at 816 W. Main St. in Ripon.

The Terraces at Bethany is one of the big ongoing construction projects in Ripon.

The three-story, 104,700 square-foot, village-style residential living community on the 2.73-acre property at 816 W. Main St. and Vera Avenue is expected to be completed in the coming year.

That’s been the hope since the June 2023 groundbreaking ceremony.

Once completed, the Terraces at Bethany will feature 82 residential units consisting of three studio apartments, 46 one-bedroom, and 33 two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 475 to 1,235 square feet.

Among the added features will be a lobby, formal dining room, café bistro, library, fitness / wellness center, media room, and multipurpose meeting & event hall rooms, to name a few.

The new facility of the faith-based Bethany Home, in addition, will have landscaped garden and courtyard coupled with other outdoor amenities.

Here’s an update – based on the recent City of Ripon Development Projects Status Report – on other works around town:

• Towneplace Suites by Marriott Hotel – The plan check has since been completed and the permits have been issued on construction of the 54,382 square-foot, four-story hotel project at 333 E. Main St. The applicant is anticipating on breaking ground in February.

• Avid Candlewood Suites – The 107-room, four-story, 54,338 square-foot hotel project at 1499 Jack Tone Rd. near the Flying J Travel Plaza recently received a one-year extension for entitlements. The City was still awaiting contractor information developer at the time of the report.

• Wine and Spirits Retail Center – All exterior improvements have been completed on the 7,498 square-foot building at 798 N. Jack Tone Rd. Work was last being conducted on interior improvements of the upscale wine and spirits retail store.

• Noosa Energy Project – An extension request was granted back in August on the battery energy storage project at 1302 Frontage Rd. The applicant submitted plans for review and approval as well as begun prepping the site.
