Ripon Unified’s Ziggy Robeson is the 2024 Educator Impact Award’s Superintendent of the Year.

She was recently honored at a special event by Congressman Josh Harder – he also announced Robeson receiving the award that’s open to educators within his 9th Congressional District at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Ripon High Career Technical Education building on Oct. 28.

“I’m humbled and honored,” said Robeson Monday at the Ripon Unified school board meeting.

She was recognized this time by her board of trustees, thanking not only her elected leaders but all those involved in the district for being “incredible partners.”

Robeson also acknowledged her immigrant parents, noting that they instilled the ethics of “hard work, resilience, and giving back” to the community.

The Educator Impact Awards also honored teachers, administrators, and educational support staff in Harder’s district.

“These awards are a chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible educators who dedicate their lives to shaping our future – from classrooms to playgrounds, from administration offices to afterschool programs, our educators are the heart of our community, molding the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators,” said Harder’s office on the website.

Robeson has been superintendent at RUSD since 2015, having previously served as principal at Colony Oak Elementary School.

In addition, she mentioned being proud of the district, in particular, for the many opportunities afforded to students.
