StocktonCon takes place Saturday & Sunday at Adventist Health Areana

Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob Square Pants, will be at this weekend’s StocktonCon Winter at the Adventist Health Arena, formerly the Stockton Arena.

Tom Kenny, the voice of the popular cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants, will be among the special guests at this weekend’s StocktonCon Winter.

The fifth annual event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Adventist Health Arena, formerly the Stockton Arena.

Kenny, 61, is a longtime actor and comedian best known for voicing the titular character SpongeBob since 1999. During that time, he’s won two Daytime Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards.

For those holding gold and silver tickets (available at the official StocktonCon website, https://stocktoncon.com/winter-tickets), Kenny will be doing a meet and greet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Fan Club panel room.

StocktonCon Winter will once again feature an array of artists, exhibitors and special guests.

More than 200 exhibitors and artist booths featuring the likes of Ramon Villalobos – the 2005 graduate of Manteca High has worked with Marvel Comics and DC over the years.

Those in attendance can discover lost treasures, comic books, action figures, and Funko pops, to name a few.

The costume contest will take place at 4 p.m. in the Stockton Arena Panel Rooms near the main entrance. War Torn Front will provide Collectible Card Gaming in the Gaming Area on the lower lobby concourse area.

A portion of the proceeds from StocktonCon Winter will go directly to local charities.

Presale tickets are still available at the office StocktonCon website or at Fantastic Collectible in Manteca; Al’s Comic and Terra Coffee in Stockton; and Modesto Comics, Maximum Sports, and Invincible Comics in Modesto.

Cost is $15 plus fees for one-day tickets or two-day passes for $20 plus fees. Children 12 and under accompanied with paid adult will be admitted free of charge.

On the day of the event, tickets can be purchased at the Adventist Health Arena box office is $23 for one day, and $33 for both days.
