Six Ripon building projects underway

Construction continues progress at The Terrace of Bethany Home, a major project at 816 W. Main St. in Ripon.

The new Shell Station at Ripon Crossing is nearing completion.

According to the City of Ripon’s Development Projects Status Report for November, the convenience market / gas station / car wash at 710 N. Jack Tone Road,. is left with “only the storm drainage system left to install.”

The project was approved back in July 2020 with groundbreaking at the corner of Jack Tone Road and Canal Boulevard taking place that summer of 2021.

Updates on the other non-residential projects include:

·         Fleet Maintenance Facility – The 12,500-square-foot City of Ripon vehicle maintenance building at 240 Doak Boulevard is still under construction. Work continues to progress on the new corporate yard.

·          Noosa Energy Project – Plans have not been submitted on the Battery Energy Storage Project at 1302 Frontage Rd. as the applicant is seeking an extension on the entitlements. The project was approved back in May 2021.

·         Wine & Spirits Retail Center – Construction is currently underway on the 7,498-square-foot upscale liquor store at 798 N. Jack Tone Rd. in the Ripon Crossing shopping center.

·         Ride 209 Fitness Club – Construction on the two-story, 25,554-square-foot fitness facility is currently underway. Approved back in August 2022, Ride 209 is also in the Ripon Crossing shopping center along 720 Jack Tone Rd. and 1551 Canal Boulevard.

·         The Terraces at Bethany Home – This major project of this Bethany Home project broke ground earlier in the summer. Construction on this resort-style, three-story, 106,894-square-foot residential care facility continues to make progress.

·         Liberty Self Storage – Work began not too long ago on the 170,300-square-foot self-storage facility at 503 E. Fourth St. that, once completed, will allow for Recreation Vehicle storage thanks to a zoning amendment.

·         RC Schools bus maintenance & storage yard – This is part of the expansion project by Ripon Christian Schools. Plans call for converting an existing contractor business at 775 Frontage Rd. into a bus maintenance and storage yard.

·         RC Schools Green House & Grounds Maintenance Facility – This is the other part of the RC expansion at 435 Maple Ave. (across the street from the campus) that calls for demolishing tan existing bus garage and shop building in order to make way for the new project. The first plan check was completed and was sent back to the engineer for correction.

·         Quick Quack Car Wash – Construction of the express carwash at 1450 Brady Ln. in the Save Mart Shopping Center is ongoing.

·         Jimco Truck Stop Improvement Project – Work along 1002 & 1022 Frontage Road consisting to undergrounding of utilities and sidewalk installation is underway. The project calls or various improvements to the entire site.
