Schools choirs sing for MUSD, RUSD leaders

Fourth- and- fifth- grade choir students from Lincoln Elementary School spread the holiday cheers at the Manteca Unified District Office, singing to Superintendent Clark Burke and staff earlier this week

Choir students at Manteca Unified and Ripon Unified spread holiday cheer during the past week.

On Wednesday evening, the Ripon High choirs led by director Philip Floria performed “Carol of the Bells” and Silent Night” at the monthly school board meeting held in the Ripon City Hall Council Chamber.

Members of the choir included Evangeline Christensen, Brynn Daley, Danika Escola, Baley Gardette, Lily Haggerty, Chetan Harvey, Hailey Hoy, Shelby Kahan, Chloe Lautenslager, Sloane Nokelholm, Emma Lynn O’Laughlin, Skylar Pimentel, Angelina Rivera, Jazmine Vasquez Boyce, and James Wilkins.

Meanwhile, fourth- and- fifth- grade students at Lincoln Elementary School traveled to the District Office that morning to entertain district office staff including Superintendent Clarke Burke with the singing of Christmas carols.

In addition, Be.cafe – operated by students in the district’s Culinary Arts Career and Technical Education pathway program – chipped in by serving up cookies and cocoa to those in attendance.
