EarthCam, the leader in live camera technology, content and services, has been awarded by San Joaquin County to provide real-time video streaming and documentation for 25 secure ballot drop box locations. This initiative allows the public to monitor activity around drop boxes in real-time, reinforcing trust in the electoral process.
Through this partnership, EarthCam installed “Voter Integrity Cams” — high-definition, solar-powered live-streaming cameras, at each ballot drop box in the County.
Further, the recorded footage will be stored in an archive and available for a full 24 months.
“Our partnership with EarthCam is a key component of our strategy to continue ensuring that the 2024 General Election is fair, impartial, accurate, secure, transparent, and accessible,” said Olivia Hale, San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters.
With 28 years of expertise in streaming high-quality video content from diverse locations like the Statue of Liberty, the Port of Los Angeles, and the Washington Monument, live-streams will remain accessible and dependable 24/7, offering peace of mind to election officials and voters alike.
EarthCam has designed a range of live-streaming solutions to serve election officials across the country with similar monitoring and recording options plus installation and removal services.
