The Ripon Planning Commission will look to approve a site plan permit Monday to construct an unattended RV & Boat storage facility.

The proposed project is listed at 821 S. Acacia Ave., which is zoned for Light Industrial.

The property currently contains five residential units, which will remain in place.

According to staff report for the 6 p.m. meeting in the Council Chamber, 259 N. Wilma Ave., the RV storage will be constructed in a vacant portion of the lot between the existing homes and the existing mini-storage business located to the north.

The proposed project will be on 1.02-acre parcel; however, the RV storage facility would be located on about .50 acres of the parcel.

Commissioners will also revisit the Avid/Candlewood Suites Hotel project at 1499 Jack Tone Rd., next to the Flying J truck stop.

Manteca Hospitality, Inc. is requesting a one-year extension to construct the 45,338 square foot, four story, 107 room hotel – all conditions of the original project approved in 2022 will remain intact, if approved.
