Rusty Clark, new Ripon Unified superintendent, being introduced Monday

The Ripon Unified School District will announce the new superintendent at Monday’s 7 p.m. monthly session in the Council Chamber, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

A welcoming for Rusty Clark is on the agenda. The new superintendent will take over from Ziggy Roberson, who announced her retirement back in January.

In other agenda items:

·         School board members will recognize employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service.

·         They’ll honor Ripon High English teacher David Yonan as the recipient of the 2025 Crystal Apple Award.

·         Trustees will also recognize students who have achieved the California State Seal of Biliteracy and the Pathways to Biliteracy Award.

·         The board will honor fifth-grade student Aubree Betschart and fourth grader Macy Yan, both of Colony Oak Elementary School, for their art work participation in the South San Joaquin Irrigation District Vehicle Wrap contest. Betschart was recently announced as the grand prize winner while Nan took second place.

·         Students who took part in the Best of San Joaquin Middle and High School Art Show, in addition, will receive special recognition.
