City of Ripon Planning Director Ken Zuidervaart gave an update on plans for a convenience store and gas station at the corner of Frontage Road and Arc Way.

“Staff is still processing the application,” he said at the Oct. 14 Planning Commission meeting.

Zuidervaart added that Environmental Impact Report identified some traffic issues with Arc Way and Fulton Avenue.

“Staff is sitting down with the applicant to talk through the possibility of them putting in a roundabout at that intersection as a mitigation for their project,” he said.

The project is planned for 769 Frontage Rd., which is the northwest corner of Arc Way – adjacent to Sekhon & Sons Construction and Ripon Christian Schools’ new bus and maintenance storage yard.

The Arc Way Development Agreement was approved by City Council back in December 2023.
