Yes on Q effort surpasses $100K to push passage
Manteca businesses, labor groups, firefighters, local residents, youth sports organizations, and builders have a lot riding on Measure Q on Tuesday’s ballot. As of Oct. 27, the Yes on Q Committee has now raised $103,549.30 to fund its campaign to gain passage of the 20-year long three-quarter cent sales tax on Nov. 5.

Ripon’s 39th annual Main Street Day set for Oct. 19

Main Street Day is but a few weeks away.

The 39th annual event sponsored by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Don’t miss out on a day packed with local vendors, a car shown, live entertainment, delicious food, and much more,” according to the Chamber via social media this week.

The family-fun event will once again feature over 100 vehicles will be showcased along historic downtown Ripon coupled with a variety of vendor booths and pet parade, to name a few.

Main Street Day will take place along downtown from Acacia Avenue to Industrial Avenue.

Calvary Reformed Church will feature activities such as pumpkin decorating, a fall photo booth, fishing prize game, and balloon animals (9 a.m. to noon), to name a few.

The Ripon Unified School District will have its Fun Color Run.

Main Street Day, as in the past, will have a book sale coupled with arts & crafts.
