Work is needed on one of the roads in Ripon.
It’s in the area of South Highland Avenue and Canal Boulevard, where the road striping is faded and in need of being replaced.
The Ripon City Council on Tuesday approved a change order to American Pavement Systems, Inc., which had already been awarded the South of Main Resurfacing Project back in April.
No discussion was necessary.
Cost for removal and replacement striping was for $85,431, with the financing for the change order coming from the Street & Road Operating Fund.
American Pavement Systems Inc. will not only remove the existing striping but replace it as well with thermoplastic striping and reflectors.
American Pavement Systems, inc. was awarded the South of Main Resurfacing, coming in as the low bidder some seven months ago at about $1.5 million.
The contractor, as part of the project, also handled the resurfacing of various streets in the area of Vera Avenue, Fourth Street, Seventh Street, and Robert Avenue.
