The Antone E. & Marie F. Raymus Foundation was established in 1989 with the goal of enacting positive change within Manteca and the surrounding communities in San Joaquin County.

Included was Ripon Unified, which recently benefited from the grant program.

“Five of our schools were awarded grants in varying dollar amounts based upon the school’s application,” said Superintendent Ziggy Robeson.

Trustees of RUSD recognized the Raymus Foundation for its generosity at their Oct. 11 meeting.

Alex Sugar of the foundation was on hand to accept the certificate of recognition from the school board.

Principal Kathryn Diedrerich of Harvest High, the district’s alternative education school site, also thanked the foundation at the September meeting.

“Raymus has generously supported our project to beautify our backyard. We look forward to a soothing waterfall, a student-centered garden as well as trees, plants and flowers to create our own piece of nature,” she said.
