John Faria is the new Supervisor of Information Technology at the Ripon Unified School District.
His promotion was announced at the Nov. 7 school board meeting by Superintendent Ziggy Robeson.
Faria had previously served as the district’s Technology Support Assistant. The position became available when Edward Ellis moved on after five years at top spot in the IT Department.
According to RUSD, Faria is bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge in information, and will continue to be a great asset to the district.
Trustees, in addition, approved eight new hires and accepted seven resignations at the monthly session.
This includes Tito Medeiros as the new Technology Support Technician, Cassie Campiotti as a Math Instructional Aide and Nereida Ramos as a Bilingual Instructional Aide.
Other new hires for the past month included Annika Degenstein (yard duty), Alexes Garcia (yard duty), Mandy Jeanes (Food Service substitute), Ann Vander Meulen (Food Service substitute) and Rhonda Pinedo (Bilingual Instructional Aide sub).
