The Ripon Unified school board recently approved the hirings of several new teachers for the upcoming school year.

Included were Mony Mirza and Alisen Kona going to Ripona Elementary School, and Jennifer Ellis being assigned to Weston Elementary School.

At the June 27 school board meeting, Dylan Sheehy was approved as the substitute teacher while Jeffrey Bossen was brought as a substitute custodial.

In addition, the new paraeducator Kristin Bruns will be going to Weston Elementary School, Tatiana Moreno was hired as an assistant for the Ripon Afterschool Program, and Victoria Norman, during the June 24 meeting, is the new yard duty personnel at Park View Elementary School.

Trustees also accepted a pair of resignations, including one at Colony Oak Elementary School.
