It was a busy past month for Ripon Unified School District’s Human Resources.
In that span, there was 24 new hires, 19 resignations, five position switch, and two resignations.
That’s according to the February report from the Ripon Unified school board meeting.
Among the new hires are certificated teachers’ Rachel Weaver (Ripon High) and Marie Newell.
RUSD also added 17 added to the substitute teaching pool – Dr. Kathleen Gonsalves, Kayla DaRosa, Kendyl Cadell, Marlaina Bair, Barbara Alcott, Alex Robinson, Ashley Castro, Sri Bindu Kamineni, Maria Ureno-Gonzalez, Natalie Nukesh, Zachary Brown, Tara Fromm, Jordyn Wall, Alexis Cordaway, Dennis Garrison, Sri Lakshmi Komma, Seneca Rubianes, Romina Lomibao, Mary Loogman, Andre Felix, Caylee Crawford, and Hima Bindu Reddyvari.
Among the current employees, Christina Fatzer is moving over to become the Food Service Supervisor while Luz Romo, Kenya Murillo, April Wright, and Rachel Sausedo are among the new certificated teachers for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
The Bulletin
The Ripon Unified School District had a total of 3,300 students enrolled during the sixth reporting period.
The recent count was conducted during the span of Jan. 8 through Feb. 2.
The breakdown of the report taken from the February Ripon Unified school board meeting consisted of Ripon High leading the way with 1,022 students – 65 more compared to a year ago at this time.
The Independent Study program saw a big jump from last year, going from five to 44.
Harvest High, the district’s alternative education site, reported 17 students.
As for the elementary schools, Ripona maintained strong enrollment numbers with 473, followed by Park View (450), Ripon El. (442), Colony Oak (433), and Weston (419).
