The Ripon Unified school board approved 15 new hires and accepted one resignation at the Dec. 18 monthly meeting.

The one resignation was an employee at Colony Oak Elementary School.

The majority of the new hires wsere for the substitute pool.

Included were Natalie Betoshana, Elizabeth Baldwin, Oscar Hernandez, Michelle LaRossa, and Maira Lujano as certificated subs; Jessica Sandoval, Rosalina Alvarado, Ana Padilla, Betzy Gonzalez, and Andrew Doughtery as food service subs; Alicia Lopez-Villalobos and Gustavo Pizarro as custodial subs; and Lina Alahri and Brandon Mothershed as paraeducator subs.

Samantha Watts was brought on as an assistant to the Ripon Afterschool Program.
