Ripon switching back to three days of watering

The City of Ripon just kicked off the new watering schedule this month.

This three-days-a-week schedule will allow property owners within the city limits with an “even” ending numbered addresses to do their landscape watering on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

All properties with “odd” numbered addresses within the city limits will be allowed to do their watering on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

This schedule will be effective through the end of October.

No watering will be allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

No watering on Mondays.

No irrigation of ornamental landscapes will be allowed during and 48 hours following measurable rainfall.

It is also prohibited to use water to wash down driveways, sidewalks, patios, parking lots, aprons, and other exteriors surfaces except for sanitation, public health and safety, and fire protection purposes.
